Healthcare doesn’t happen behind a desk. And now, neither does Corti Assistant.

We’re excited to announce the launch of the Corti Assistant mobile app, available on iOS and Android, bringing real-time documentation and structured note generation directly to clinicians, wherever they work.

Built on top of our healthcare-specialized API platform, the app is a live example of how developers can extend Corti’s real-time transcription, fact extraction, and document generation capabilities into mobile environments. Whether used during hospital rounds, in home care, or outpatient settings, the app demonstrates how ambient workflows can be powered by modular APIs, with automatic sync back to desktop and EHR-integrated systems.

Built for how clinicians work

Most clinical documentation tools assume the clinician is stationary - at a desk, in front of a keyboard. But for many healthcare professionals, that’s rarely the case.

“Hospital patients aren’t placed near computers,” explains Lasse, a general surgeon and Clinical Product Specialist at Corti. “As a doctor, you’re often moving fast, checking on post-op patients, and the last thing you want is to push around a workstation.”

With Corti Assistant for mobile, clinicians can:

  • Capture conversations with patients directly from their phone
  • Generate clinical notes and summaries on the spot
  • Access transcripts and structured data from any device
  • Resume documentation later, without losing a single word

A tool for nurses and multidisciplinary teams

Corti Assistant is also a valuable tool for nurses and care teams, especially during initial triage and shift handovers.

With real-time transcription and summarization, nurses can:

  • Record the initial patient interaction
  • Automatically generate a narrative summary
  • Share structured findings with doctors and colleagues
“It frees up mental capacity for care,” Lasse says, “while ensuring key medical facts aren’t lost.”

Mobile documentation for home and community care

For home health nurses and community-based clinicians, carrying a laptop isn’t always practical. That’s where mobile medical documentation tools like Corti Assistant become essential.

With just a phone:

  • Clinicians can record patient encounters
  • Generate SOAP-style notes
  • Access prior sessions or reference material
  • Sync documentation securely back to their EHR

This reduces time spent writing notes later and improves care continuity across settings.

An AI Assistant that does more than dictation

Beyond transcription and note generation, the Corti Assistant app also provides:

  • Chat-based access to clinical guidance
  • Reference material lookups based on current guidelines
  • A growing knowledge base tailored for healthcare-specific use cases

Unlike generic tools, Corti Assistant is powered by specialized healthcare language models, designed for accuracy, privacy, and readability.

“Generic models are too verbose and not built for medical workflows. We need concise, clinically relevant outputs,  and that’s what we’ve trained for.”

Corti Assistant for Apple Watch

For wearable support for even more flexibility, Corti Assistant is also available on the Apple Watch.

By using Corti Assistant on the Apple Watch, clinicians are enabled to record conversations or access summaries with a glance, even in environments where phones are restricted or hands are full.

It’s just one more step toward making ambient, context-aware clinical documentation a natural part of care.
